In a move to strengthen scientific research in traditional medicine, a Research Methodology textbook for postgraduate (PG) and PhD Ayurveda scholars has been launched. The book is designed to help researchers apply modern scientific methods while studying and validating Ayurveda.

The textbook covers key aspects of research, including study design, biostatistics, data analysis, ethics, and scientific writing. These skills are increasingly essential for producing credible and internationally accepted research.

As Ayurveda gains global attention, the need for rigorous scientific evidence has never been greater.

By giving young researchers a common framework for conducting research, the initiative is expected to promote better-quality theses, stronger publications, and greater collaboration between Ayurveda and modern medical sciences.

A step towards evidence-based Ayurveda:

India has been investing in the promotion of Ayurveda through education, research, and international outreach. However, wider acceptance depends on generating robust scientific evidence that meets global research standards.

The launch of this textbook marks another step towards building a stronger research ecosystem—one that combines the wisdom of traditional medicine with the rigour of modern scientific methodology.
